About Us Private Hire Association

Background Information

Private Hire Association was formulated for the private hire sector and incorporated in England, under the Companies Act 1985 as a private company, with guarantee. The company is a non-profitable organisation and was set up during the autumn of 2003, by the founders S. Asghar and M. Amjad.

Private Hire Association has been involved within the private hire sector for over half a decade, with previous knowledge, know-how and experience in dealing with issues arising within the private hire environment. After working within the sector for over a decade it was apparent that basic rights within this sector were oppressed and guide lines were making it increasingly difficult for private hire drivers in managing their daily activities at work. Hence, the solution was to introduce a voice for the sector as a whole and represent the rights of drivers and to deploy friendly help and advice.

We are taking on board private hire drivers, who are willing to work alongside the association to effectively form a team which will provide a firm foundation for the rights of the private hire drivers. We aim to strengthen and unite the sector as a whole whilst concentrate on dealing with the main issues that act as obstacles for drivers in carrying out their normal every day jobs.

The One Stop Solution for all Private Hire Drivers.

'Our mission is to improve standards within the private hire sector working with regulatory bodies to professionalise the trade and promote best practices, creating a safer environment for Drivers and the Public'
